Capt. Roger Kohutek is a local fishing guide and long time resident of Port Mansfield, TX. His family built a house here about 20 years ago and ran a commercial fishing boat for some time. Capt. Roger along with his family… wife Elizabeth, son Dylan and daughter Sierra have carried on the legacy of family fishing.
Capt. Roger will take you through Port Mansfield jetties out to some of the best fishing spots for sport fish like the Blue, White & Stripped Marlin, Sailfish, Black & Yellow-fin Tuna, Dorado (Dolphin), and WAHOO!!! He will also take you to some you the best sunken rigs and record rocks for Red Snapper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Cobia (Ling), and various species of Shark, Snapper & Grouper.
The Lower Laguna Madre is teeming with a unique eco system. A system for both Bay fishing and Duck Hunting. Bay fishing offers fish species from both Bay fishing from Redfish, Speckled & Sand Trout as well as Flounder and Drum. This system also offers some of the United States well known ducks to this region such as Bufflehead, Northern Pintail, Gadwall, Green & Blue-winged Teal, American Widgeon, Shoveler, Mottled, Cinnamon Teal and Snow Geese.
